Wedding related matters!
A few wedding tips, I've learned over the years.
- Ask your venue if they have a generator, to ensure there is a back-up plan in case there is a power failure or load shedding.
- Budget friendly flowers & greens for a wedding - eucalyptus, chrysanthemum and succulents.
- When you setup the wedding venue and you use candles, make sure all the candle wicks are standing up. This will make the lighting of the candles easier and faster.
- If the bride and groom dance and have fun, the guest will follow. Do not stand the whole time outside. Make the most of your wedding day. Remember your are the hosts. Be a fun host.
- Choose your master of ceremonies (MC) wisely. A good wedding MC is more than someone who is good at public speaking or can tell a few jokes. They should make sure everything runs smoothly and introduce each person who is speaking, as well as important events. Make sure the person you choose, jokes are in good taste and do not offend anyone. The goal is to make everyone feel at ease and relaxed without stealing the spotlight.
- Try to stick to the program, this will make sure you do not get charge for extra hours because the formalities was not done as plan. Your photographer will normally keep track of time of the schedule and guide you during the day.
- Communicate the program with your hair and makeup team to make sure they stick to the timeline and do not cause the bride to be late for the ceremony.
- Remember to include the DJ and Photographers in your guestlist and to set a place at the table for the team to eat.
- The more you love your vendors, the more they will go above and beyond for you. Showing vendors appreciation and gratitude throughout the planning process results in magic on your big day.
- Be present in the moment and feel the love—you’re getting married!
